Program Description Humber’s Marketing Management graduate certificate program is a comprehensive program covering a wide range of topics relevant to today’s marketing professionals including branding, product development, advertising, distribution, sales, integrated marketing communications, planning, budgeting and strategy. You will receive advanced training in a number of transferable skills that today’s employers are looking for in their new hires including creative problem solving, communications, decision-making, goal-setting and time management. With a highly practical focus, you’ll learn from a combination of real-world case studies and the opportunity to apply cutting-edge marketing techniques. Gain hands-on industry experience with a 160-hour (minimum) work placement. Here you will have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to a real-world business environment. With our support, you’ll find your placement at any number of leading marketing or advertising firms, or directly within the marketing departments of local, national or international brands with offices in the Greater Toronto Area. Placements can be completed on a part-time basis throughout the academic year or full time once classes finish. Marketing is the business discipline that applies to every organization. Marketing management focuses on creating, building, communicating and delivering value to customers in ways that meet organizational goals. Marketing managers research and analyze markets, develop products, design communications and promotional strategies, draft sales presentations, decide pricing and distribution policy, and build brands – all to satisfy customer needs and wants and the organization’s goals and objectives. Hiring companies are diverse, from small start-ups for students with an entrepreneurial spirit to many of Canada’s largest agencies and brands.
